Personnel now working at Medical and Biotech Developments, Inc., first started researching the intricacies of micro fluidics in 1965.
Then when we started as an independent consulting firm in the early 1990’s, micro fluidics chips and other MEMS technologies played a
significant role in many of the devices developed. Projects have included devices for lab-on-a-chip,
capillary electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, DNA sequencing, immunoassays, flow cytometry, PCR, proteomics, and cell manipulation.
For chip fabrication from a wide variety of materials, processes we have access to include plastic molding,
laser cutting, configuration etching, and layer laminating. Chips can include electriode integration, circuit connection,
membrane capture, valve formation, and other small component incorporation.
